FINE CHARLES II PERIOD EBONY AND SCAGLIOLA CABINET ON STAND

; the upper section with four long and six short drawers framing a central door opening to reveal a shelf with drawer; the lower section with two long drawers on baluster turned legs connected by a shaped-x and side stretchers. The drawer fronts stiles, door and sides decorated overall with scagliola flowering urns, fruit baskets, and birds.

There is a similarly decorated table from Warwick Castle, now in the Victoria and Albert Museum. A very small number of pieces survive from what was probably a specialized London workshop employing Italian Scagliolisti  the original piece being a fireplace at Ham House, Surrey.
