| LATE ROMAN MARBLE TABLE TOP
; the thick rectangular slab smoothed on top and roughly
worked underneath; the front frieze relief carved with a pair of ivy
vine scrolls, each with four leaves and a terminal grape cluster which
is being nibbled by an animal; the sides and back simply decorated with
incised grooves. Now on a 19th century giltwood base of carved dolphins.
Circa 4th – 5th Century A.D.
